Shandro Kennel is situated in Loretto, Ontario, Canada, 50 minutes north-west of Toronto and 40 minutes south of Barrie. Mike and myself (Kate), four Leos live on 18 acres which offers our doggies lots of space to use their imagination. Fourteen years ago we brought home our first Leonberger, Kahulalion Bella Luna (Bella) followed by her sister Bathseba Botania (Sheba) and a couple years later Sheba’s daughter, Shandro’s A Smilin' Clementine (Clem) was snuggled up on our couch, having a snooze. This breed takes such joy in showing their emotion and sharing it all with you. I share the couch with them and rely on them to wake me up at 5 AM and also to announce if a car has parked in our driveway. But they also feel it is necessary to bark horrendously at any car that drives under the speed limit. Because, the Leo has a strong drive to hunt critters, mice, flies at the window or falling leaves; their agenda is always packed. Bella, Sheba, Clem and Bubba have passed away and now we live with Maggie (VonLinderhof’s Inspired Thunder), Rusty (Dorus Dominicus Domus Corona), Rosie (Leokings Got the Look), Ziva (Leodania's Tulip Lilac Perfection) and Sully (Niclas D.
